In 1949 a small family stationery company called Waltons was founded in Cape Town to bring Capetonians a previously unseen range of stationery and work tools. Over the years, Waltons proved such a success that branches were opened nationwide. Growth continued rapidly and in 1997 Waltons became a member of the Bidvest Group, one of the largest listed companies in South Africa.

Today, Waltons is the leader in home, school and office product supplies and South Africa's largest stationery and office equipment company.
